Town Hall summer hours start Friday as Hollis Street housing deadline looms
WELLESLEY — Town Hall departments move to a summer schedule beginning Friday, May 29, even as residents have less than two weeks left to apply for an affordable home ownership opportunity at 12 Hollis Street. The Hills Branch of the Wellesley Free Library, meanwhile, is days away from closing for a months-long renovation.

Town Hall is reminding residents that its summer schedule kicks in this week. Starting Friday, May 29, municipal offices will close at noon on Fridays and remain open until 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Residents planning end-of-week errands at the clerk's office, assessor or other departments should adjust accordingly.
The town also issued a corrected link Thursday for the affordable home ownership opportunity at 12 Hollis Street. Applications are being accepted through June 8 for the deed-restricted unit, with full details and the updated application materials posted on the town's civic alerts page.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Wellesley Free Library's Hills Branch will close for renovations beginning Monday, June 1, and is expected to reopen in fall 2026. Patrons who typically use Hills will need to shift to the main library or the Fells Branch during the closure. The main library is also promoting the upcoming grand opening of its new Terrace space.
